Sb is a heavy non-ferrous metal with silver grey glossy. Its density is 6.68, melting point 630.5 degrees, boiling point 1640 degrees. It is crisp and hard to oxidize and it is of strong resistance to corrosion. Antimony is added to the alloy to strength the hardness, so Sb is called hardener of metal & alloy. With the development of the science & technology, antimony can be used to product fire-retardant, enamel, glass, ruber, coating, color, plastic, semiconductor, fireworks and so on.
Gravity separation is a main beneficiation method for antimony beneficiating. Antimony is of big density, and coarse granules, so it is easy to separate from the gangue by gravity separation. The density of antimony is 6.68, larger than that of the gangue whose density is 2.6-2.65. The big difference makes it easy to separate by gravity separation. The LTA1010/2 jigger & JT1070/2 jiggers can gain great beneficiation efficiency for antimony ore. Jiggers make use of water as medium, and separate on basic of density difference to get antimony of 0.2-50mm with large treatment capacity, high recovery and continuous working. The jiggers are widely used in beneficiation of kinds of antimony ores like gray antimony, stibnite, stibiconite, senarmontite.
