As kind of weak magnetic ore, the basic beneficiation methods for manganese ore are mainly gravity separation and intensity magnetic separation even though there are many kinds of manganese ores.
The gravity separators mainly refer to jig separators, and sometimes shaking tables. But considering small handling capacity and feeding size limitation of shaking table, it can not be used in large scale manganese separation. And here jigger is the widely used concentrating machine for manganese ore. Jigger for big blocks ore makes gravity separation more common.
